Laurie Brooks has been with Saint Luke’s College of Health Sciences since 2007. Interactive learning and clinical simulation are her passions for teaching concepts in Adult Health Medical-Surgical Nursing. She has written scenarios for classroom learning that incorporate the concepts taught. She is very active at the college serving as faculty advisor for Saint Luke’s Student Nurse Association which attends the annual state conference. She was instrumental in steering the Saint Luke’s College Honor Society which was chartered in Spring of 2010.

Laurie Brooks has begun a program of study at Northcentral University to earn a PhD in Higher Education Leadership. She has earned an MSN in Education and MBA in Healthcare from the University of Phoenix, BSN from the University of Phoenix, BA from University of Missouri-Kansas City, and an AAS from Penn Valley Community College in Kansas City. Her clinical experience beginning in 1982-present is broad but focused on cardiac care.

Laurie is a member of the American Nurse Association, American Association Critical Care Nurses, National League for Nursing, Missouri Nurse Association, American College of Healthcare Executives, Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society for Nurses.
