Debbie earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Luke’s College Nursing 1994, Master of Science in Business Management in 1998 from Baker University and in 2007 a Master of Science in Nursing from Webster University. Debbie has been a faculty member at Saint Luke’s College since 2002. Debbie’s clinical nursing practice focused in Medical-Surgical Nursing and Post Anesthesia Care. Teaching experience both didactic and clinical in; Fundamentals, Adult Health, Leadership, Geriatric Nursing, Community and Client Education. Debbie’s education philosophy is to create an environment conducive for students to feel comfortable and open to the learning process. Debbie’s belief is teachers who reveal themselves and are caring create an atmosphere of mutual respect and acceptance for their students. This learning environment will challenge minds, pique curiosity and celebrate the differences between students. Debbie’s purpose in teaching is to encourage independent growth of students by furnishing them with the tools needed to control and interpret new challenges they will face in practice and in life.
